Background
From marketing and student acquisition to scheduling and distance learning, higher education institutions have a unique set of needs when it comes to online functionality. This was the case for the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), the world’s largest nutrition school with an annual enrollment of more than 1,600 students from across the globe.
Business Challenges
IIN sought to advance its online functionality in three specific areas:
- A student center with upgraded function for managing schedules, payments, and more
- Increased administrative capabilities, such as managing student and instructor schedules and tracking tuition payments
The Parse3 Solution
Three highly targeted websites were created to handle IIN’s online “wish” list.
First,Parse3 worked with IIN’s marketing firm on a redesign of the main website to reflect consistent brand message and enhance usability.Engaging marketing tools now include student videos and a database of healthy recipes.
For current students, Parse3 designed a convenient account “dashboard” that allows users to update personal profiles, manage schedules and payments, take exams, view grades, and register for additional classes. The creation of a new distance learning portal using .NET software known as “Community Server” lets students continue their education anywhere at any time.
Additionally, personal marketing websites are now available for each student, where they can post their bio, nutritional philosophy, contact information, links to favorite resources, and more.
Finally, an administrators’ control panel with advanced applications was created to streamline both administrative and marketing tasks:
- Integration with Salesforce CRM software to generate leads and create targeted marketing campaigns
- Improved processes for enrollment and scheduling
- Better payment management, including discounts and payment plans
- Data aggregation to identify graduating students
